Vicky Langan

Filmmaker / Artist

Vicky Langan is a Cork-based artist whose practice operates across several often overlapping fields, chiefly performance, sound, and film. Langan both embraces and projects vulnerability, offering an intimate territory loaded with personal symbolism and unguarded emotion.

Together with collaborator Maximilian Le Cain, the pair have made 14 short films, an Arts Council funded feature, Inside, made for TULCA 2017 and also exhibited at, amongst others, VISUAL, Carlow. Langan/Le Cain have also been creating collaborative live performances including Play Ground at Lausanne Underground Film & Music Festival, TULCA, and, most recently, Double-Blind at Cork Midsummer Festival 2018. Vicky is closely affiliated with the Experimental Film Society.
