A camel, on a quest to find his missing wife in the desert, faces the dilemma of chasing his treasure or continuing his journey. ‘St(r)ay’ is a story of how someone recognizes the most important thing in life amid chaos caused by dementia.
Chiang Yao is a Taiwanese director and filmmaker who has used sarcasm, darkness and surrealism as themes to depict the mental disorder and lack of balance lurking behind people’s faces. He has been fascinated in utilizing animation, motion graphics and film as his aesthetic forms to explore the struggle between reality and involuntary illusion since he studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York. Alongside his bizarre and uncanny personal projects, he has been working as a director, 3D artist and designer for many multimedia projects, which includes commercials, VR games and 3D animated shorts.
