The American Wake

Bound by an unspoken life commitment to helping her family preserve their land, young Nora’s way of life is challenged when she receives a letter from her sister inviting her to immigrate to America. Now, Nora is faced with a choice: stay in the home that she knows, or leave for an unknown life in America.

Director Bio

Kevin Quinn is the award-winning Writer, Director and Producer of "The American Wake." During his first year at his alma mater, Drexel University, Kevin was 1 of 4 students selected from the entire Westphal College of Media Arts and Design to participate in the Pennoni Honors College iSTAR in Los Angeles Program. While in LA, Kevin worked on “First Girl I Loved,” an independent feature film and the recipient of the Audience Award at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
