A young novice at an isolated convent is confronted with the sudden desire to explore her sexual self in the wake of meeting a blue-tongued lizard. Daniel is a religious erotic drama set in rural New Zealand which explores female sexual repression.

Director Bio

Claire is currently assistant to Jane Campion on Campion's latest film - The Power of the Dog. Daniel is Claire's debut film. It is edited by Oscar winner John Gilbert (Lord of the Rings, Hacksaw Ridge) and had its European premiere In Competition at Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival in 2020.
