Still Voices Presents a Special Screening of Call of the Forest in partnership with Whose Woods These Are Tree Festival.
When Inay (9) and her little brother have to join their father on a special trip through the city, she tries everything to cause a delay. She knows that if they arrive late at their destination, she will be rewarded with loads of sweet desserts.
Born in Utrecht in 1992, Marit Weerheijm is a young Dutch director based in Amsterdam. In 2016, she graduated as a director of fiction films from the Netherlands Film Academy with her short film, ‘When Grey is a Colour’. This film won the prestigious Student Academy Award, the Oscars for student films. Next to that, the film gathered two jury awards at TIFF Kids and was selected for multiple international film festivals. In 2018 she finished a new short film called ‘Before Dark’. This film was made in the context of the Wildcard award from the Dutch Filmfund. Her latest film ‘En Route’ will premiere in 2019.
