Call of the Forest Screening
Still Voices Presents a Special Screening of Call of the Forest in partnership with Whose Woods These Are Tree Festival.
Two strangers ‘match’ online and meet for a casual ride - of a Monday, no less. What they both expected is quickly turned on its head, as they both face their separate issues together over the course of one night.
Laura and Tony met in 2015 when they trained together in Bow Street Academy for Screen Acting. Since then, they have been continually acting, writing and/or producing together. Their first production together was a play called ‘Knowing Nathan’. It had a sold out run in The Complex Dublin (January 2018) and went on to win the Judge’s Choice Award at Galway Fringe Festival in 2018. Now, the pair have teamed up again to create something for screen. Neither are strangers to making shorts and films - Laura’s debut short film as a filmmaker ‘Hold the Line’ won the award for ‘Best Short Film’ at Belfast Film Festival in 2019 as well as ‘Best Acting’ and ‘Best Editing’ at the 2018 Richard Harris International Film Festival. Tony can be seen Acting in Irish Features Dublin Oldschool and Michael Inside, both currently streaming on Netflix.
