Still Voices 2022 Submissions Open
The submission call for the 2022 edition of Still Voices is now open.
In rural Ireland, teenage sisters grapple with their ties to the family farm when they discover a pest caught in a trap and must decide what to do with it.
Ayla Amano is a director, writer and producer. She studied Screenwriting and Directing at South Seas Film and Television School in Auckland, winning Best Film and Best Screenplay of her graduating year. Over the next several years, Ayla directed, wrote and produced an extensive slate of videos including short documentaries, commercials and branded content. She went on to spend two years in Vancouver, Canada where she co-directed and wrote a feature documentary for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). Ayla now resides in Cork, Ireland, where her debut short film, 4x4, premiered at the Cork International Film Festival in November, 2020.
