Still Voices 2022 Submissions Open
The submission call for the 2022 edition of Still Voices is now open.
Set during the late 90s in Southern California, 16-year-old introverted Elle struggles to express her feelings towards her best friend who is about to move away.
Nicole Vanden Broeck is a French-Mexican filmmaker born and raised in Mexico. She received the FONCA-CONACYT Scholarship to pursue an MFA in Directing at the American Film Institute Conservatory. Her thesis film ELLE (2020) premiered at the Academy-Qualifying 24th Rhode Island International Film Festival and won the Grand Prize Marlyn Mason Award given for new voices, new perspectives by women in film. Her directorial work has screened at over 50 film festivals around the world including AFI Fest, Out On Film, Women in Film & Television, among others.
