Still Voices 2022 Submissions Open
The submission call for the 2022 edition of Still Voices is now open.
Chris is a young single mother struggling to make ends meet. She’s living in emergency housing in a hotel with her energetic daughter, Jodie. It was only supposed to be a for a day or two but they’ve been here a month. Then Chris lands an interview for a job, that could improve their lot in life. Excited, she prepares and is distracted away from Jodie. Jodie has an assignment from school to fill a shoe box gift for a homeless girl. She tries to enlist Chris’s help but Chris is too busy to properly engage.
Gary Duggan is an award-winning writer and director. He recently directed the short films SHOEBOX and INNER CHILD, and created and directed COSTIGAN, a crime drama pilot for RTE’s Storyland, which is currently being developed into a full series. Gary co-wrote the much talked about primetime drama, AMBER, which premiered on RTE and BBC4 in 2014. The mini-series sold to multiple territories throughout the world. He has also written dozens of episodes across multiple seasons of RTE's flagship soap FAIR CITY.
