SPENT tells the tragic story of a woman living in a perpetual state of grief and a mother’s refusal to give up on her child.

Director Bio

Claire Byrne is a film maker from North County Dublin. She studied a Masters in Film and TV Direction at Screen Academy Scotland, where she completed her graduated film '1000 Months' in 2013. '1000 Months' is an experimental short music film based in Brighton, UK. Since graduating, Claire has worked in different fields within the film industry including Art Direction and Editing. With a passion for depicting a strong sense of place and character, Claire continues to grow her film-making practice and has recently finished SPENT, a short fiilm, which she directed and edited.
