Lorcan Finnegan's Without Name to open Still Voices Short Film Festival 2017.

Having recently made its Irish debut Without Name will open this year's Still Voices Short Film Festival. Lorcan Finnegan's first feature follows a land surveyor on an assignment to measure an ancient forest for a developer but soon loses his reason in a supernatural environment that has its own plans. Lorcan's award winning short film Foxes will also screen beforehand.

Submissions are now closed.

After five and a half months and over 300 films, submissions are now closed. We received a phenomenal 300 films from 50 countries. Our submissions panel will now pick the top 100 which will go into competition over the festival weekend. We have two awards this year, Best Irish Film and Best of Festival Award. The successful filmmakers will be notified by June 1st, best of luck to all who have submitted.

Still Voices Short Film Festival has joined forces with Ireland's best bookshop, Charlie Byrne's Galway. This year's Best Irish Film Award will be sponsored by the award winning bookshop.
